Our three-stage selection process

1Basic Qualification

In the first step, we assess the cognitive abilities of the applicants within the framework of the Basic Qualification using modern testing methods. The goal is to evaluate the fundamental mental skills required for the profession of a pilot:

  • Concentration and multitasking: Can candidates manage multiple tasks simultaneously?
  • Spatial visualization ability: A core competency for the navigation and control of an aircraft.
  • Decision-making under pressure: How do candidates respond to stressful or time-critical situations?

These tests are fully aligned with the requirements of the EASA AMC. 1 CAT. GEN. MPA. 175(b) and ensure that all relevant cognitive abilities are assessed.

2Simulator screening

The second step of the process includes a simulator screening that simulates realistic flight conditions. Here, the candidates’ flying skills and technical abilities are evaluated:

  • Flight maneuvers: Can the candidates safely perform standard and emergency maneuvers?
  • Communication: How effective is the collaboration among crew members?
  • Stress management: How do candidates handle challenging situations in real time?

State-of-the-art simulators or our Next Gen FNPT provide a realistic environment in which we can precisely analyze the flying competencies of the applicants.

3Corporate Qualification

As part of the Corporate Qualification, the Assessment Center represents the highlight and final step of the selection process. It includes:

  • The assessment is conducted by qualified aviation psychologists and selection captains
  • Use of scientifically validated instruments that comply with the current standards of aviation psychology.
  • Assessment results are standardized, documented, and compared with the requirements of the EASA AMC.

This assessment is fully EASA-compliant and ensures that your future pilots meet the highest standards not only technically but also personally and psychologically.

  • Team exercises and case studies: To assess social skills, conflict resolution strategies, and leadership qualities.
  • Individual interviews: In-depth discussions to analyze the candidates’ motivation, personality, and suitability.
